About Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

The legend began when an evil sorceress named Rita Repulsa broke out of her ten-thousand year imprisonment and set her sights to conquer Earth. Zordon, an intergalactic being caught in a time warp, decided to form a team of heroes to save the planet. The five teenagers he had chosen were: Zack, a wacky dancer; Kimberly, a ditzy but sweet gymnast; Billy, an intelligent and shy scientist; Trini, a spirited and warm young lady; and Jason, a strong Martial Artist. Once given the Power Coins, the Rangers called upon the ancient spirits of the Dinosaurs, and tried their best to thwart Rita. After Rita had lost countless battles against our heroes, her master, Lord Zedd, returned and decided to finish the task of taking over Earth himself. His powers were a thousand times stronger than those of the sorceress, and so the Rangers had to call upon new Zords in order to stop him. When Jason, Zack, and Trini were chosen to attend the World Peace Conference in Switzerland, the Rangers faced a seemingly impossible task: they had to travel to a dead planet and retrieve a magical sword in order to transfer the Red, Yellow, and Black Ranger powers to new teens. Luckily, the Rangers found three worthy individuals who were more than willing to take on this task: Adam, a quiet but impressive Martial Artist, became the new Black Ranger. Aisha, an energetic and somewhat shopping-crazy teen took over Trini's role as the Yellow Ranger. And last, Rocky, a fun-loving Martial Artist assumed the powers of Red Ranger. With these new Rangers by their side, the Power Rangers were once again ready to fight Lord Zedd. Soon, Rita Repulsa returned, and married Lord Zedd. If this weren't bad enough, Rita Repulsa's brother, Rito Revulto, decided to come to town and shake things up a little. Stripping the Ranger's of their Zords and powers in a single battle, they were forced to travel to the Desert of Despair and find Ninjor, the creator of the Power Coins and keeper of the Ninja Ranger powers. Once they reached Ninjor's temple, they were greatly rewarded. Each Ranger realized the ninja spirit inside them, and assumed new powers and Zords. With the Powers of the Ninjetti on their side, the Rangers seemed a good match against Rita, Zedd, and Rito. Almost. But now, the Rangers were facing the threat of losing another Ranger: Kimberly had been invited to compete in the Pan Global Gymnastic Competition in Florida. Thankfully, she was able to find a great replacement in the nick of time: Kat, a new girl from Australia who had fallen into Rita's hands and had turned against the Rangers. She was able to break Rita's spell just in time and became fast friends with Kimberly. But, the Rangers had very little time to celebrate. Yes, a new villain was in town: Master Vile, Rita and Rito's father, decided to destroy the Rangers once and for all, and tried to obtain the powers of the Zeo Crystal. At first, the Rangers were a good match for this venemous villain, what with their new Shogun Zords and Metallic Armor. However, that was before Master Vile turned back time on the Rangers, transforming them into children, and destroyed their Command Center, thus ending the legacy of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and forcing them to search for the alimighty Zeo Crystal to restore their age, powers, and peace for the universe.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ran from 1993-1996. It was three seasons long, and spanned 153 episodes, and also had a blockbuster movie hit theaters in 1995.
