About Meggie

Meggie Folchart is a young girl with a passion for books. You name it, she's read it. She can even write in Elvish! She is a firm believer in happy endings, and tries to keep an optimistic view. She is very close to her father, Mo, a book binder, her mother, Resa, and her book-crazy aunt Elinor. She also has a strange power over words, where she is able to make words come to life.

About Farid

Farid is a handsome and caring teen whom Meggie's father read out of the book, Tales of the Arabian Nights. He immediately becomes attached to the fire-eater, Dustfinger, and looks to him as a father-figure. He is nimble and quick from his previously life, and is also a pretty good thief. He is rarely seen without Dustfinger's marten, Gwin, and has a soft spot for Meggie.

After being read out of Tale of the Arabian Nights and then taken prisoner by Capricorn, Meggie tries to befriend Farid. At first, Farid is hesitant, but soon grows fond of Meggie and develops a crush on her. About the Site

The minute I started to read Inkheart, I knew, I knew that Meggie and Farid were going to get together. And then, in Inkspell, I was proven right! Yay! I 'shipped them so much, I just had to make a fanlisting for them! This site is entitled "Pieces of the Sky," because Farid always describes Meggie's vibrant blue eyes as "little pieces of the sky."
