About Koga

Koga is the young leader of the wolf demon tribe. He first encounters Kagome and her companions in a battle, and discovers that Kagome has the power to detect fragments of the Shikon Jewel. Therefore, he kidnaps her, hoping to exploit her powers in the wolf demons' war against neighboring bird demons. However, Koga soon discovers what a spirited personality Kagome has, and begins to fall in love with her. Boldly, he declares that he wishes Kagome to become his mate. Kagome is taken aback by his forwardness, and states that she's already seeing someone--kinda sorta. Koga realizes that she means Inuyasha, and vows that he shall slay Inuyasha. Kagome, however, begs him not to, and Koga reluctantly complies, although every time he and Inuyasha are near one another, they attempt to fight before Kagome breaks it up.

Koga decides that he will wait patiently for Kagome to come around, because he knows that sooner or later, Kagome will tire of Inuyasha's immature antics and will choose to be with Koga. However, Koga comes to visit her frequently (always angering Inuyasha), and whenever Kagome is in danger, Koga immediately rushes to her aid.
