About Inuyasha
Inuyasha is an extremely popular anime and manga series, both in Japan and the United States. The manga, written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi, ran in the Shonen Weekly magazine for over 10 years and finally ended in June of 2008, spanning almost 600 chapters. The anime series finished its televised run in Japan (ending with 167 episodes), with four movies to date.
It is likely that since the manga has finished, the anime series will pick up again, released as OVA (original video animation).
The remarkably good dubbed Inuyasha anime airs several nights a week on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, and is apparently its highest rated program. The manga is also available in translated form from Viz Comics.
Inuyasha has shown its popularity at anime conventions, in anime magazines, and at Cosplay Fairs. It is refreshing to see such a good show getting the fandom it deserves. If you haven't seen or read it yet, be sure to check it out!
