Camille is Dai Shi's loyal and devoted servant, and has been awaiting his return for more than 10,000 years. She is hopelessly in love with him, and tries desperately to win his favor and love. On the outside, Camille may seem like your ordinary villainess, but a softer side to her has been shown. Despondent that Dai Shi is never happy with her, Camille fled to the human world, disguising herself as a mortal and going into Jungle Karma Pizza Parlor. There she met Lily, the Yellow Ranger, who reached out to her and told her she could sense that Camille was really a good person. Camille truly was touched by this kindness, because later when Jellica, the Sea Overlord ordered Camille to kill Lily, she found she couldn't. We began to see that all Camille truly desires is to be loved.
When Dai Shi is made Phantom Beast King, he decides he wants a fourth Phantom Beast General, and chooses Camille. Camille now assumes the powers of the Phoenix, and fights desperately to stay by her love's side while the other Generals plot against her.
When Snapper and Scorch planned to have Camille killed, Jarrod came to her rescue. Camille was confused at first; she thought it was Dai Shi. Jarrod told her that he loved her, and took care of her. Camille smiled, seeming truly happy for the first time, because someone loved her. After Dai Shi regained control, Camille was torn; did she love Dai Shi or Jarrod? But when Dai Shi left Jarrod's body and tried to kill him, it was clear where her loyalties lie when she risked her life to protect him. When Jarrod was unsure if he should help the Rangers or not, Camille declared that she knew she could change, that Lily had told her she was a good person and was going to prove she was right. Jarrod finally decides to help her, and together with the Rangers, they destroy Dai Shi. It is clear that Camille has no regrets as she runs to Jarrod's side and lovingly strokes his cheek.
Camille decides to start over in her new life with Jarrod at the Pai Zhua Academy.
