About Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
There's hardly a person these days that hasn't at least heard of Sailor Moon. It started out in the early nineties
as a popular manga (Japanese comic book series), and not long after an anime (Japanese cartoon). The series was phenomenally
successful in Japan, and then in the mid-nineties, the series was dubbed into English, giving the English speakers of the world
an opportunity to be acquainted with the Sailor-suited Soldier of Justice. It was also made into a live-action stage musical in
Japan, and has enjoyed over a decade of popularity worldwide.
In the summer of 2003, casting began for a brand new live-action TV series, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. The show began airing in
October of 2003. The series finale aired on September 25, giving it a total of 49 episodes, plus a Special Act which premiered on DVD and Video on November 26, and an Act Zero which came out on March 5. This show is, in my opinion, the best version of Sailor Moon. If you haven't seen it yet,
be sure to check it out!
